Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after Aviation Radarman James Haskin Robbins of the Eastern Group of U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, aircrewman in the PBM Mariner seaplane that crashed on adjacent Noville Peninsula, December 30, 1946.
